Some agents study a market from the outside. Gizelle Gorkowski learned hers from the ground up. A lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, she completed her first residential transaction in 2001 and has spent more than two decades helping families navigate the shifts that define Fairfax County real estate. That span includes frantic bidding wars, quieter stretches when buyers hesitated, and the many ordinary seasons in between.
She now leads Gizelle & Co., a team based in Vienna. The group focuses on residential sales across the region, working with first-time buyers, growing families, and sellers who need a clear plan rather than a sales pitch. Gorkowski has said her approach comes down to listening first. Clients often arrive with spreadsheets and listings, but what they really need is someone who can explain what a particular street, school boundary, or commute pattern means for daily life.
That local knowledge is not something a database can supply. It comes from years of watching neighborhoods change, knowing which intersections flood after a storm, and understanding why one block commands a premium over the next. For Gorkowski, the work is less about closing a deal than about improving how people live. Each home represents a decision that shapes a family's next chapter, and she treats it that way.
